Howdy

Is everyone enjoying middle school so far? I thought middle school was a lot harder, but now I know it's not easy but it's not too hard - yet. I have some pretty good teachers.
So how's everyone else doing? I know I haven't blogged for a long time, and I kind of forgot about this blog over the summer. Please blog here!!!!!!

Summer is Here!!

Summer is here, and elementary school is over for us. What are the things you are most worried about in middle school? For example, I am most worried that I get a mean teacher or I if get lost.

Summer is Coming!

Summer vacation is coming! The good thing about that is that we won't have any tests or homework and we won't have to wake up.( Unless you are going to summer school, like me.) The bad thing about this is that we will go to middle school, where we face new challenges, loads of homework, six teachers with different expectations, and six different classes with less breaks. I will miss Vejar so much! Vejar is the school I have been going to for the past six years! I don't want to leave Vejar. I also don't want to leave the best teacher in the world, Mrs. Martin. I don't believe that next week is the last week to have less homework and not too much stress in school. We have only two weeks left to just be a elementary school kid. Then we will have to grow up, whether we want to or not. Are you feeling sad, too?

The Japanese Beetle

The Japanese beetle, found in the eastern part of the United States and Canada, is the only bug you have to worry about if it goes into your ear. This little bug can chew through your eardrum in minutes!

An Easier Riddle

It is lighter than a feather, but nobody can hold it for a very long time. What is it? Hint: You don't have to think for a very long time on this one. Just think about things that are lighter than a feather. Like for example, carbon dioxide. That is not the answer, though. But that is close to the answer! So think of synonyms and antonyms to carbon dioxide. This shouldn't be too hard, because I gave you a good hint.

Another Riddle

A dog is tied to a five meter rope in front of a pet shop. 6 meters in front of the dog is a pile full of doggy treats. Without breaking the rope, the dog is able to eat the doggy treats whenever he wants. How is that possible? Hint: Don't think too much. the answer is very simpe, just use some logic. Think. How can a dog reach a pile of doggy treats 6 meters away when the rope is only 5 meters? Remember that the dog can't break the rope!

A Poem

This is a poem that Vivian and I wrote at our afterschool (I made up the last six lines):
I love Easter!
Easter is so fun.
So fun that we never
get anything done!
We find Easter eggs,
while playing in the sun!
We enjoy our teacher's company
while eating stolen buns.
We go to the store,
to steal some more.
Isn't that fun?
I love Easter!

Do you like the last part? Vivian and I couldn't think of anything, so I just randomly added that we ate stolen buns and we went to the store to steal some more. The poem is supposed to be about spring. I have to go to bed now. Bye!!!

A Fact That You Must Know!!!!!

Never crush a wasp that has just stung you. Upon being crushed, it will release a chemical that becomes airborne; this signals guard wasps to come and sting whatever goes in their way. So, if you ever accidentally step on a wasp, then I suggest that you run away as fast as you can and scream to everyone that there could be some ferocious wasps coming their way.

Did you know????!!!!

Did you know that your brain is more active when you're asleep than when you re watching TV? And that according to hospital figures, dogs bite an average of one million Americans a year. More people are killed in the United States each year by the jaws of dogs than they have been by Great White sharks in the last one hundred years!! Can you believe that?????

A New Riddle

A hobo named Stephen Chien had to find a job. So he found one, but sadly, he was still very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very poor. One day he told a man, " I have married many women, but I have never been married." How is this possible?

A Riddle!

I have a riddle for you! Two fathers and two sons went fishing one day. They were there the whole day, but they only caught three fish. One of the fathers said,"We have enough for all of us, we will all have one fish each." How can this be possible? Please blog what you think is the answer, and I will give a highlighter to the person who guesses it right.

"The harder the conflict, the greater the triumph!"

Those are the words that George Washington said to his soldiers when they were going to cross the Delaware River on December 25, 1776, on Christmas Eve. The Patriots were losing the war, and just when they were about to give up, George Washington read them those words from a script. Those are also the words I thought of when I was in Downtown Disney's Theatre, waiting for my turn to dance for the solo dance competition. I was very nervous, and the whole time while I was dancing, I was shaking uncontrollably. But you know what? I won a gold first place trophy! Did you ever get nervous before a competition, and end up winning something?
